Today, we're considering 'Maybe.' You might not think much about this simple word, but it has the incredible power to interrupt limiting beliefs. 

 

'Maybe' as an Interrupter

Think about the times when you or people around you have made statements like, "I can never do this," or "I am not good enough," or "I can't." These limiting beliefs can hold us back from our true potential. But what if we answered these statements with a simple 'Maybe'?

 

'Maybe' introduces doubt into our understanding of what's happening."Maybe" allows for a more nuanced perspective, acknowledging the uncertainty in a situation, rather than making absolute statements like "yes, you can" or giving in to the belief that something can't be achieved. A client's son declares that he could never live alone in response to a difficult situation. If we introduce doubt and remove our own resistance to the situation and instead bring in the energy of 'Maybe,' we can keep the door open to the possibility of success. The truth is, no one knows for sure if he can live alone or not. But we want to allow for the possibility that he can. By doing so, we enable him to start learning what he needs to do to make it happen.

Staying in the unknown looks like 'Maybe'. This mindset allows us to remain open to possibilities that haven't arrived yet. Remember, we're never truly done growing. So, let's not let that part of our brain that craves immediate answers lock us into thought processes that might not serve us tomorrow.

 

'Maybe' offers us a way to live in the unknown actively. It's like saying, "I don't even know, but I am open." This can be a new mantra for life, and it might just change your world!
